Since 2009, QLOCKTWO products have been handcrafted in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. A matrix of 110 seemingly random characters form the basis of each clock. Individual letters are highlighted to form words, which describe time in five-minute intervals. Four dots lighting up in the corners represent the minutes in between. The introductory words “IT IS“ can be switched on and off. The whole clock is operated by a high-quality, specifically developed electronic unit which also adjusts the level of brightness to the particular lighting conditions. Thus, at night the time display is dimmed reducing energy consumption. No hands, no numbers, just time in a timeless design.
